SUB-BSR-D™ Dynamic Bend Stiffeners are a highly engineered product to include an additional pre-defined stiffness to a cable or umbilical at the point of connection to a fixed structure.
Dynamic Bend Stiffeners primary function is to reduce the bending stresses in the cable or umbilical at the highest bending moment location at the fixed structure throughout the design life of the project.
Split Dynamic Bend Stiffeners are a a split / two-piece product for retro-fit / repair projects.
Typical applications include: Dynamic flexible risers on FPSOs; Dynamic umbilical terminations; Wave energy device connections; Floating wind turbine cable interfaces.
