SUB-BALLAST™ Cable Ballast Modules are utilised on-board cable installation vessels during the omega lay deployment of SUB-SRJ™ Subsea Repair Joints.
Ballast Modules provide a counter-balance weight during the over boarding and deployment of SUB-SRJ™ Subsea Repair Joints.
In addtion, Ballast Modules are also installed upon light weight Thermoplastic Composite Pipes (TCP) to increase the TCP on-bottom stability coefficient / on-seabed stability coefficient.
Furthermore Ballast Modules can also be used in other subsea operations where an increase of submerged mass is required to providing increased subsea stability.
Everything can be designed to your exact requirements.
Typical applications include: Cable on-bottom stability; Free-span remediation; Offshore wind cable stabilisation; Pipeline weighting solutions.
SUB-BALLAST™ Ballast Modules is supplied to the Oil & Gas, Floating Wind, Wave & Tidal sectors.
Clamp-on design — no cable contact required; Adjustable weight configurations; Rapid deployment with ROV or diver installation; Non-damaging to cable outer sheath.
