Subsea Energy Solutions (SES) complete successful tidal energy project in North America

Subsea Energy Solutions (SES), a global equipment manufacturer for the offshore energy industry, has completed a recent project in North America.

Subsea Energy Solutions were approached about producing a bespoke SUB-CENTRALISER™ J-tube Centraliser and a SUB-BSR-D™ Dynamic Bend Stiffener for use on a tidal energy project.

Within the project both products were designed to suit client requirements, including new mould manufactured in super quick time.

In their production, the SUB-CENTRALISERS™ J-tube Centralisers used 82°D PU while the SUB-BSR-D™ Dynamic Bend Stiffeners bend stiffener was produced using a flexible 95 shore A material suited for the expected dynamic forces. The items are assembled together using a 316 Stainless Steel interface plate to create the assembly.

The project was delivered on time with a very happy client in Q2 2021.

Philip A.R Stanyon, Company Founder & Technical Director said: “This was a great project and it is great to complete another tidal energy project. As the wave and tidal energy industry grows, clients all around the world are proud to choose SES, selecting the best products in the world."

Paul Boddy, Director at Subsea Energy Solutions, said: “We pride ourselves on having a global business and we take great pride when clients as far afield as North America choose SES as their preferred supplier."
