Subsea Energy Solutions (SES), a global provider of offshore engineering and technology solutions, have completed a project to tackle a common problem with hose flange assemblies.
Hose flange assemblies can easily become a snagging problem when being deployed over a chute due to the significant jump in diameter between hose and flange. Also, if maneuvered on the sea bed, can accumulate foreign bodies which can impede or damage the flange in addition to causing an obstruction to the installation operation.
A global client in the energy industry approached Subsea Energy Solutions due to the company’s reputation for being able to respond quickly and produce innovative solutions as short notice.
The only client stipulation was that this was for a marine environment and the solution must be produced in two halves, in addition to the design being custom fit to their exact specifications.

The project was completed during February 2021.
