Subsea Energy Solutions (SES) have recently completed a project producing SUB-S-BSR™ Static Bend Stiffeners for an important and prestigious client. 

SUB-BSR-S™ Static Bend Stiffeners are an engineered product to provide a pre-defined stiffness to a cable or umbilical at its point of connection to a rigid structure or other system component. Its primary function is to limit unplanned / incidental bending stresses in the line at its most vulnerable point, thus removing the potential for damage at the line connection as a result of over bending.

Our bend stiffeners can be engineered for use in both static and dynamic environments. Bend stiffeners designed for use in dynamic environments whereby the bending load is likely to alter throughout the products installation are engineered to include significant anti-fatigue properties, thus removing any failure potential of the product throughout its lifespan.

In this solution the client ordered 06-off SUB-BSR-S Static Bend Stiffeners, ID 157mm with Super Duplex Inserts.
 
Subsea Energy Solutions designed the Bend Stiffeners to work with the client’s current equipment and to fit their exact specifications.
 
All manufacturing was completed during 2020 whilst operating under COVID-19 restrictions.
